What It Takes To Win was developed by the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in collaboration with Perspectiv in 2015, ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Created for EIS staff, the document outlines the processes and approaches introduced to help coaches and practitioners create a winning environment for Britain's Olympic athletes.
The challenge was ambitious: to surpass Team GB's medal tally from London 2012, something no host nation had previously achieved at the following Summer Olympic Games.
Spoiler alert: they did it. Team GB went on to win 67 medals in Rio, surpassing the 65 won in London.
